Firework Advice

  1. Always light fireworks at arms length and stand well back.
  2. If you are using sparklers, make sure to wear gloves and have a bucket of water nearby to defuse and NEVER give sparklers to children under five.
  3. Only buy fireworks marked with the British Standard Kitemark BS7114. DRD has a wide range of safety standard fireworks box-sets to choose from.
  4. Before a fireworks display, read the firework instructions carefully. There are important differences in handling certain types of fireworks and store any fireworks in a closed box.
  5. NEVER go back to a lit firework even if it hasn't gone off, it could still explode!
  6. Always keep everyone at a safe distance from the fireworks.
  7. And finally, have FUN but KEEP SAFE!
